Those are fabulous sofas. Can you try moving the one on the left to exactly face the one on the right or is the TV a factor? If so then move the one in front of the window so it will face the one against the wall. Right now they look too much like a sectional.

An ottoman would be a nice soft choice with kids in mind. Use a tray for drinks.

Thanks leele! Those are pretty, I really like the legs on the blue one. Where is it from? I guess my fear would be "upholstery overkill" since the sofas are so heavy with upholstery. Do you think that's silly?

Given this arrangement, I would select a large square table to suit the squareness of the couches (which are lovely). They are showing a lot of metal legged tables with wood tops that are really modern, but warm. Could consider one that has a shelf below for books, etc. You can always measure out with tape and that will help you imagine the right table size and configuration. I think that your corner table and/or the lamp are too small....need to be higher and a bit more substantial. Good luck and have fun.

Reilly, I love those kinds of tables! I think the metal legs and wood top would fit nicely with my vision. Have you seen a square shape? I think they are called "box frame"? I've only seen rectangular.

If you go to Houzz Products - type in square coffee tables with shelf, you may see some you like. The reclaimed wood ones look really nice, but I couldn't find one with a second shelf with metal legs. Good luck.

I am hoping to see the PB piece once it arrives. Soooo striking the way this room looks right now even......just needs a taller table so the lamp sits up higher, too.

any thought to moving around the couches? i wasn't sold on that table either. but i did like the idea, and the stools have storage....i was just thinking more is more lol.

Flair, I originally had the couches facing each other (will attach a photo). Only prob is my husband hated it. It kinda cut up the room but I'm open to changing it around if the majority of Houzzers agree...

Abbyjean- PB media console arrives tomorrow so I will post pics then. And agreed about end table- I have no intention of that staying there- it's only temporary.

I like the look of the couches across from each other, but I understand hubby and watching the tv from the couch, too.....no fun to be looking side ways all the time.

I also see how having the L makes it appear to be a sectional, so maybe having them spaced apart more, due to a great new end table and lamp, would help that effect. No reason for the arms to touch as there appears to be room to move the one over. Either one, actually.

Not sure.....is there a view to appreciate out the window? Are you missing out by having the couch in front of it?

So, to sum up what's been discussed so far, are we thinking a square-shaped coffee table is best for the space? Again, sofas are 90" in length so I'm concerned about proper scale.

Just curious...what is the length of your couch and did you get the 51" or 55" brickmaker's table? I have a 94" grand emory sofa from Arhaus and have a chance to get the 51" table for a great price....just worried it's too small for my massive couches! Thank you:)
