My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

    Due to the lighting ( a mix of daylight, ambient and photographic), your guess is as good as mine. However, I can share a clever trick the designer, Sarah Kahn Turner, used. She specified that the ceiling be painted a medium gray color. The owners were afraid a "dark" ceiling would be oppressive. But, in combination with the glossy white beams, it gives the illusion of a high ceiling. (the ceilings are standard 8').

    Thank you! I absolutely LOVE everything about this... My ceiling is 7'... do you think the beams would work for me? Are they wood or faux?

    The beams are wood that is clad in a custom trim. I do not think this type of ceiling would help you out if the height is only 7
