Long ago I saw a clever idea to solve that problem. The homeowner used window film to cover about 2/3 of the window which allowed privacy but still gave access to the view. This didn't look odd at all but the bathroom was a rather contemporary design???

I looked at the film on the window , how do you divide it so it looks like we did it on purpose plus I was afraid the film would eventually bubble up. so many things to worry about . great idea! thanks
