I am thinking of using it in my kitchen. Anything else you could tell me about it would be great.

expect to have some thin white veins in it, as this is what makes it look antique. There is also some slight pitting in the softer parts of the granite, my installer fixed this, (it almost looks or feels like a chip out of the surface of the granite) and now you cannot even tell where it was. My husband and I entertain often, and every person that has walked into our home..compliments the granite, it really is beautiful. I hope this helped
