I have a 2.5 bath home. Our master bath has a large soaking tub and a separate large walk in shower. Our hall guest bath is the typical tub/shower combo , double sink, toilet. A powder room on the main level. My kids are older (17+) and the hall bath needs a total re-do. The tub and toilet is dove gray and I would like to replace them. The tub currently has a frosted glass sliding door (circa 1990) that HAS TO GO! It is a fairly large bathroom. My question is: If I take out the tub and replace it with a beautiful glass door full walk in shower, tiled floor to ceiling, will this decrease my home value? Will it make reselling it harder? We don't plan on moving any time soon.
