    I don't think you really need any backsplash because your painting fits in perfectly there but herringbone white subway tile would look nice all the way to the ceiling

    @ rainy morning, this is a decorating site not heart surgery. Now, I would first add a few knobs and your fav glass subway tile backsplash to add color.
