Nicely done! I'm not sure that I like the one piece of fabric above the bed's frame. But I like the hint of orange. :) I always find it interesting to decorate on a budget - gives a challenge!

Beautiful, like an elegant and comfortable hotel. The only thing I would change would be the front bed bench, it looks really old and cheap.

You could've gotten a lot more bang for your buck had you shied away from stores like target and pier one [unless you catch one heckuva sale]. This is where I go to shop [in order]

1. Craigslist [king four poster canopy wrought and cast iron bed frame $150, candelabra $15, frames $5-10, towel/quilt rack, $10, pottery $10-15, tv stand $5]
2. goodwill / st. vinny's etc. [tufted chaise $50]
3. ebay [pillows $3-15, wall hangings $5-20]
3. HomeGoods/TjMaxx/Marshall's [don't believe anything in the bedroom]
4. Michael's for framing [here wrought iron framing costs $40-70]

having said that, some of the items don't flow well together. and $1000 for just the accessories in this room is WAY too much. agree with most ppl above have said, in addition would add the following:

1. the pillows are quite small for the size of the bed, and randomly placed
2. the wall art also looks randomly thrown together, and the frames look cheap
3. the pink upholstered chair and bench with the orange curtain and pillows looks "off"

For a design like this I would certainly have not spent more than $150, next time I strongly advise to check craigslist in your town and surrounding areas, and definitely homegoods [you could get those lamps for probably about $30 I'm sure u spent way more at pier one] and sometimes [if you're not spending $10k+] you may have to do a bit more searching, but it's so worth it in the end. my favorite part of decorating is actually how cheaply I manage to do it for.
