Looks good. If the walls are in pale green, I would change to soft white to give it a crisp clean look. Chairs can be in brown or taupe.

Would love back painted glass but too pricey. Glass tile sounds good but in what color? Do you think we need to add a pop of color or keep the neutral tones?

Don't forget that there are 4 spots in your kitchen space that needs to be giving some character to the space; floor, cabinetry, countertop and backsplash. Even if you don't want to put more color, you can still have some backsplash tile that matches with the current color scale of your space.

THanks SCW Kitchen. Husband wants a pop of color for the backsplash and I am leaning towards neutral. We will get glass tile samples of both and see what works best.

I would stay neutral. If you do add color I always love green, maybe a soft olive green. I wouldn't use pops of jarring colors, just soft. Let your textures be the star in your kitchen. Working in your kitchen would feel like being in the woods to me. Earthy, dappled sun, cocooned. A beautiful, beautiful kitchen.

What a great kitchen! Yes you definitely need backsplash. I can make several suggestions: install pieces of the same granite as your island as backsplash. This would be gorgeous. Or go with a simple beige tile - nothing too busy with beige grout - take the colour out of the island granite. Or yet again, go with stainless steel backsplash.
