I would change the color of the screen door. Maybe to a brick red, or a burnt orange if you want to draw attention to it, or paint it a similar color as the siding to make it withdraw. Change out the front porch light to something larger and a bit more substantial. Do you have a walkway to your new deck. It doesn't show in the photo if you do.

The seating area seems a bit tight.

I agree about seating area looking tight, don't you hit your head on that open window?

A new paint color on the screen door would be wonderful. A couple of suggestions are: Sherwin Williams 7600 Bolero or Benjamin Moore AF-285 Moroccan Spice. These are both colors I have used for 2 homes with gray house paint in the last month. My favorite of the 2 is the Bolero.

You might consider painting the boards beneath the glass railing to match the house color. This would make it darker so it would sit back visually instead of sitting "proud" or forward as it currently does.

We have a huge deck on the back of the house so the small seating here is a bonus and just enough. It is actually not tight at all. ( maybe the picture is deceiving, not sure). Thank you for the colour suggestions, I may consider them in the future. Right now I love this blue that the screen door is painted. I am afraid the house may look grey in the photo but it is blue.

I might suggest a planter or nice potted plant or flowers to balance out the left side nearest the door, looks off balance to me from the pictures view. Is that storage under the seating section, did that on a house I owned and it was perfect to store mower, etc...

I don't understand why it was made so small. You have plenty of room but I guess that's water under the bridge. So the problem is that you are mixing styles of trims that just don't seem to go together. The screen door is Victorian, the shutters colonial style, railing modern. The railing has got to go it doesn't match anything else. I've posted two to consider. Can you extend the deck another 5 or so feet to the right? Then replace the siding under the deck with siding similar to what is on the house? Maybe adding some stone or brick might help. At least paint the wood the same color as the rest of the house. Consider removing the shutters on the downstairs window. I have attached a photo of a traditional style door that would better match the shutters. Lastly, where is the sidewalk? Run a sidewalk the same width as the steps to the street.
