Kitchen patio door and kitchen window California shutters or blinds?

I have a glass patio door when we bought the house and the California shutters just want your opinion can someone give me idea if I should keep the California shutters or get the door with. Jilt in blinds
Any suggestion. Please give me your opinion
My windows contractor thinks I should just put blinds and take the shutters out. Any suggestion

Ok great thanks a lot. What kind of blinds or window coverings do u suggest as I will need to change the shutters for the family room, patio door and the kitchen window

Are you able to get the doors with the built in blinds? Those look very nice and there is no maintenance or cleaning of them. You could do a blind at the window or if it is not a privacy issue, just a window valance with some color or pattern.
