Aluminum siding painted dark color

I have a 'silly' question regarding your choice of painting aluminum siding a dark shade. Would you mind telling me how is it holding up so far? I was very excited seeing that you have made such a bold move, as our contractor tries to discourage us from painting our aluminum siding black due to sun exposure and future problems with 'peeling paint' in the future. I would be grateful if you let me know how happy you are with the decision as I would ideally like to follow your steps :)
