Hmm. You have to wonder what they were thinking when they positioned the fireplace. How about just ignoring it for now.....put the TV on the wall opposite the windows and plenty of cushy seating to watch it. It would be neater to place the TV next to the FP and put a loveseat there, but might crowd the boys. Is there room on the wall opposite the FP? Then you could do back to back couches, one facing the tv and one facing the fireplace, and a few tables and chairs to round it out. Heck, I'm no expert. At least there's lots of light!

Thanks for your creative ideas! I'd love to try to get the TV to the right of the fireplace. Then maybe a sectional coming out from the wall of windows across from the fireplace. But I'm thinking theres not much room for anything after that. Interesting thought to put tv on wall opposite the windows. Thanks and yes there's lots of light!

You could put the TV next to the fireplace with a sectional. Put the one side of the sectional parallel to the windows and create a walkway between the sofa and the wall.

Ok. I didn't think of that. Thought it would block the fireplace but maybe not I guess. I like that cause it would also look out the windows too. Thanks

A low slung sofa will help to keep the space open and if you decide to put it infront of the windows (tv on the wall opposing) it will help keep as much light as possible.
