Keeping wall color in mind perhaps a rug to match whatever color pillows you plan on adding to your couch to brighten the place up a bit.... I love the turquoise pillow in the picture....
Being as the couch is solid you can go with prints and totally have fun!

Some of these options are a bit expensive and some are probably just a little too playful but it gives you a general idea.... And you can totally play around and have a blast!

With the creme floors and grey sofa, you could go just about any direction. It's like having a blank canvas! Do you like bold colors and geometric patterns? Or do you prefer something more natural and textural? Either would look great! I agree that the pop of turquoise looks good. (Chartreuse is also a great complement to gray.) Here's one idea from West Elm - the background is actually creme and gray flecks. Good luck!

Thank you all for your wonderful suggestions, I really love geometric prints so I think I'm gonna go with that. Also the walls are cream as well so I really need to add some colour, and some of the rugs suggested here have given me some great ideas:))
