Vanity Backsplash

In master bathroom, I'm struggling with putting together a stunning vanity area. Visualizing how all this looks is not my forte! The spun glass (ice) vessel sink set off center with a 3-hole polished chrome faucet set on blue mari granite (which I just love) and boardwash vanity base. A matching linen closet is across the "aisle" and will be reflected in the framed full wall mirror. The vanity lights (not yet selected) are over the mirror (centered over the sink) so that area will be either painted wall or stacked stone. The floor is wood-look tile in warm grey tones. The shower is done in earthy stone-look 12x26 tile and is not easily seen by the rest of the room. The tub is done in stacked stone. The dilemma is stacked stone or 5-6" granite backsplash/painted wall on the mirror wall in the vanity. It would be odd to have the stacked stone sitting on the granite backsplash (4-6") with a stacked stone trim (2") around the framed mirror, right? The side walls will be painted. Any other suggestions for this room? Thanks so much!!!
