Windows frames

We are replacing our home windows and sliding doors (about 22 mostly large windows) and debating between vinyl to aluminum frames. Our house is in rainy Vancouver, contemporary style, mostly white- grey colours with wood. We're thinking about soft black or dark grey frames. What should be our choice of material?

Go with Vinyl. I seen aluminum siding houses and the aluminum got funky looking. It took a great long while to get that bad look (25 + years) but nevertheless it happened. Another thing about aluminum, it's a great conductor of heat (Think heating bills in winter)

Aluminum clad windows (I like extruded rather than roll formed) are available in many colors, where vinyl is available in white, tan and brown. Aluminum clad would be my choice, but they will cost more.
