Kitchen and living room upgrade. Removing wall unit from right corner and drywalling that area. Will keep a smaller bulkhead for pot lights. Wish to upgrade gas fireplace hearth & mantle. May just get gold trim on fireplace painted black. Add stone or tile on fireplace wall???? May only keep tables and lamps. Flooring suggestions wanted to work with ceramic tile kitchen floor. Thinking of angling off the transition between tile and living room flooring. Window dressing? What style furniture to get, furniture placement, lighting?? Dimensions approx 12' wide (plus another foot where bow window curves out). Length for sitting area approx 17 feet, computer desk area approx 2' x 5'. Thinking of a console table for the computer. FYI we are in our mid 50's, about to retire, no grandkids to worry about just yet. Oh, and I don't want to be a slave to my floor and having to sweep or clean it every day. Thanks. Mona
