Is the railing painted?

12 years ago
I'm trying to find ideas to 'modernize' the 1988 oak wood railings in my house. I don't have the money to tear it down and recreate so I'm thinking of painting the wood railings and spindles... looking for what the outcome might look like.

    I would talk with your local paint store for specific information on the best way to accomplish this look. However, the stained parts are a 'stained grey' here. and the balusters are a primed and painted white.
