My first post here. Love this sunny (SW facing) dining room but it needs some color and update to a more modern feel. Love teal and think it's perfect. Recovering dining chairs in dark teal/blue/cream/chartreuse print, have 9 yards of lighter companion fabric chartreuse/cream/teal/brown to make valances & table runner and possibly add some to the window treatments. Also bought 2 chairs covered with same dark ikat to pull up to table (changed legs to make chair taller) Should I paint the table & chairs? What kind/color of area rug under the table (I have a black lab that sheds like mad, so nothing too light on the floor) print? Solid? Change the shades on the light fixture? Accessories? Thanks for ideas!
