Your specs confused me.

This Sink appeals to me as the cabinet is only 36-38 wide. In order to have the most useable counter space open I would want width at 15" and depth at 13". Can sink be placed this way?

    This sink, EC9838, is 16 inches wide and 13 1/4 inches deep . Its 'footprint' on the countertop, meaning the size of its base, is 9 1/4 inches wide and 5 3/4 inches deep.

    Sorry if I managed to confuse you. The dimensions of 16" long and 13 1/4" wide, indicate the size at the top of the sink. If your requirement is fixed at 15" and 13" at the top, then this sink is too large.
