I'm having a hard time finding anyone else in the world who has had to work with or re-imagine a kitchen that contains the burnt orange/bittersweet laminate countertops that someone thought was a good idea back in the 70s or 80s. I'm trying to re-design/update my new kitchen in the most inexpensive but effective manner. Aren't we all...hehe. I've included a couple photos of my dilemma (I know I took a photo of the whole kitchen at some point but I can't find it right now). The counters have actually grown on me...so now I hate to just lose them. I'd like to work around and with them if possible. I've considered painting all the cabinets to eliminate alot of the brown/orange feel ...but I'm not sure which color will best brighten the kitchen without making the whole room louder. I'd like to mute the orange while still showcasing it.
