Is the top flat so that drinks can be set on it?

Yes it has a flat top to put whatever you want on it. Drinks, bowls, etc.

If you were to drop something on it-- will it dent or scratch ?? (I have Z-gallery dinning table, console table out of the silver leaf -but one is protected by glass the other no one goes near) --- the coffee table gets a lot of wear. Let meknow before ordering - thank you - Sue

I have one personally and my kids have dropped things on it and it has not dented. I have the large silver leaf finish in my living room. As far as scratches mine has held up nicely with 2 kids and 2 dogs. The silver leaf finish I would assume would scratch easier than the gel coated. The gel high gloss in my opinion are a stronger more durable coating. Which one were you interested in?

Can they put a clear protective coating on the silver leaf ?

Where can I order the silver gel coated? I don't see it for sale - also I s it the same color as the silver leaf just with a gel coating? How does that change the shine? Thanks

I have a silver leaf Riverstone, and it has gotten stained - what is the recommended way to clean it? I've tried detergent, miracle eraser and Goo-Gone - none of them work. Any suggestions?
