What size chandelier?

I'm hanging a chandelier in my master closet and I'm not sure what size would be right. The closet is
9 x 12 with 11' ceiling. The chandelier will hang over an island. When figuring the size, should I consider subtracting the inches that will be taken up by hanging clothes in order to figure my size? I am looking at the Mia Faceted chandelier from Pottery Barn. It comes in a 13" and a 19" diameter. One seems small and the other seems large. What do you think?

I just read an article that says that in order to calculate the right size for a chandelier you add the length plus the width of the room in feet and convert that into inches -that's the maximum diameter that the chandelier should have ( for example, for a room that is 10' x 12' your chandelier should not be bigger than 22" in diameter).
