redo curio

I was thinking of chalk painting, dark waxing and distressing the curio.Im tired of the oak. I wanted to try and give it the appearance of my hutch. What paint colors do you suggest? Thanks

    Grey wash then distress just a little would be pretty. Nice piece!

    are they in the same room? i wouldnt try to match. how about picking a color from the fruit, like the plum color? i think it depends on where you have the piece.
