That picture from the bedroom is a possibility for the wall opposite the china cabinet. You might want to lighten the frame a bit on it and the one in the corner.

How about a big horizontal mirror? It will make the room so much more brighter.

Large mirror or colorful art. Unsolicited: remove tablecloth, add curtain panels in a print or geometric, attach small shade to each lightbulb in chandelier, maybe black ones.

Mirror Windows might enhance the space and give the impression of an architectural element.

Thanks springcath. Yep I would love to remove the tablecloth and put up curtains but got to wait on the kids to get a little older LOL. My son already has the curtains in his room half way down.

I totally understand. I had one of those busy little boys once. I'm sure it's a challenge just to keep the tablecloth straight on the table LOL!

I think because the room appears to be quite small I wouldn't overcrowd it with multiple framed artwork. Probably best to stick with one large mirror that balances the china cabinet on the facing wall. Hope this helps. Good luck from Montreal!

Perhaps you shouldn't stack multiple frames (and crowding the space), but you could put a row of 3 or 5 framed art/pictures. It's a nice change from having solid blocks along each of your walls.

I am going to try the art that I am moving out from my bedroom soon. will post pics. I really like the idea of a mirror. What kind of frame on the mirror should I look for ? I looked for art in stores near where I live that comes in multiples and the only ones I see are ones that look like bathroom art LOL. But I only really have a few stores near where I live.

The mirror should be in the same or similar finish to the chandelier or any knobs on the china cabinet.

A series of botanicals, a tapestry, a carved wooden panel or a large framed map of Paris.

Gray & Walter could you comment on my master bedroom on my profile. Had to take down the art because it was not fitting well now don't know what direction to go. Should I keep the curtains or find new ones, where to place wall décor? The mirror on the dresser is going to stay for now.

you may put in some painting with scenes from history. you may also put in all your family photos there. a full family wall. else cover it with glass art panels.

One large piece of art or a large mirror that was already mention would keep the lines simple and you would only have one picture frame to keep straight. :) I just recently found a painting that I love on Craigslist that is 30" X 40". It was worth the wait.

I think I am going to order a mirror for this space. I saw one on the internet that is 56 inches long I like. The wall is about 100 inches long. The art that I was thinking of putting in this space is 68 inches long, so I think it may look a little large in this space. Will post result pics!

You have to be a little careful with mirrors in a dining area....do diners want to watch themselves eat and/or do they want to look at the back of someone's head? What will it reflect?

A mirror is nice in many situations, but in your space, I think the prints (either four square, two side by side or three lined up depending on the size) would look best. I'm not a huge fan of a large mirror in the dining room by itself. Who wants to watch themselves eat? I think botanical prints would be very pretty.

Hi! I would suggest first hanging drapery the entire width of the window wall to add softness to a room with so much wood, and to help fill the corners of the room at that end. Then, on the blank wall you could add some curves with metal wall art or cool textured baskets/bowls...images attached for inspiration!
