My grandmother was a fabulous woman in the 50s and 60s, totally ahead of her time as the first woman CEO of a radio empire. As a child in the 70s and 80s I would go to her place and I just loved her gold desk. From the best of my ability to discern now, at 41, with her being dead for almost 10 years, it was in the Hollywood Regency style. However, nothing I've actually seen in HR is really similar. The desk I loved was sold in an estate sale, and I'm sure it was undervalued. It had a very organic feel, with almost branches coming out of it -- it was a writing desk but could also be used as a vanity.

I am looking for something very similar for my Girl Cave, which is Modern/Transitional Glam. I know that I will never find her desk but can people please help me find a vanity with similar style?! I have a compact collection also I would love to display, including several from the 60s. Help?
