Our 1957 home has a dining L attached to the Living Room.
We needed a modern dining area.
My idea was a black leather floating bench with black leather backs.
My Carpenter made the wood foundation and had iron workers make the support brackets.
I covered the wood foundation with black leather.
I had 11″ wood rounds cut, inserted a screw in the center, then padded and covered in black leather.
Then I screwed the backs into the wall.
