Too cluttered counters?

Hi there, revamping my kitchen but not sure how best to decorate without looking too cluttered... Need advice also on what to display on window sill. Any help would be very appreciated.

The sink area looks ok to me (I'm more of the messy type), but I would not keep picture frames on my counter.

Here a brighter pics... I have photos on side bar as it's additional space but maybe not the right placement?

Your kitchen is lovely. I would remove the two white items by the stove and consider moving your coffee pot and coffee items to the area under the wine. I would need the paper towels somewhere by the sink. I think your windowsill could be left bare as your view is beautiful. I am fine with your picture frames and personal items.

I would limit the items on my counters in general for there is just more to have to clean food spatters off of :) Near your window sink area I would put greenery such as herbs, "in season" potted flowers/topiaries, etc. look great near the sink and windows and liven up the space. I don' t think you need anything in the window sills at all. It has a tendency to "clutter" up the window viewing area. You have such a beautiful view of greenery out the window you should let it speak for itself. Bringing in some greenery to the counter top near the sink would also repeat the beautiful green from outside. Besides the bare necessities I would put as many items away as possible and have three distinct areas of decor: on the counter flanking the sink/window area, on top the bar in very limited amounts and a seasonal vignette in the center of the island. This is your main focal decor such as a potted plant/fresh flowers/ organic item (pumpkins, seashells, limes, etc. for the season), larger scale items like a statue, candle, etc. whatever speaks to you. Just not a bunch of little things out of scale to the island. You have such nice finishes you should let them "speak". Your beautiful shiny back splash could get lost behind too much stuff. Here are some pics of island vignettes with nice scale-not necessarily the theming of the vignette per se.

Thank you for excellent thoughts... I will definitely do something similar to the window sill pic. It looks great. Here is a quick fix up near the bar...

I'd also trade out the blinds for something lighter

You need to get rid of that stove and give it to me.

You have a nice kitchen.....but if it were mine I would definitely 1) put the mixer behind a cupboard and replace the space with the knick-knacks that are currently to the right of it (on the photos with your latest change). 2) I would definitely de-clutter the area under the wine. I'm not sure all of those cups are actually necessary. If you don't drink coffee each day, I would say put the coffee maker away also. However, if you DO...keep it with just two cups next to it.

First lovely kitchen! Thought I'd tell you to remove photos but if they make you happy, keep them there! I have pix of my family on wall and it's nice to " visit" with them daily....especially those who are gone.....

Here is the final pics of the window... I picked up topiaries. I think this looks a million times better. What do you all think?
