I think you could do the light and the recessed. I believe you can never have enough lighting.

You note there will be an oil-rubbed bronze bridge faucet. Another solution would be a light fixture as we have, which is the same finish. The individual lights are adjustable to shine wherever you need to point them. It's an old photo, and not very good, but you can get the idea.

Thanks for your idea! I like it but that means I'd have recessed, a pendant and have to add more electricity to the beadboard wall for another fixture. Appreciate your comment tho :))

Pardon me. I assumed you were looking for an "either/or" solution. My alternative was to eliminate the recessed and use the fixture instead of pendants over the sink. Our fixture is tied into existing electrical in the ceiling, as yours would be by using the electrical connections currently being used by the recessed lights. More electricity wouldn't need to be added, as it already exists in your ceiling. Anyway, good luck on whatever you do.

This might be a viable solution. Ballard's carries adapters that allow you to convert recessed lights to pendants. I think you could get away with two pendants over your sink; one for each window.

Are you doing a window treatment on this window? If so, maybe you don't need anything other than the recessed lighting that is already there. Let your window treatment be the star!

Thanks! I didn't want to put window treatments on the window because my yard is so calming to look at and I want it nice and bright. I had my heart set on a pendant light I saw from Rejuvenation called Skidmore that is darling. My electrician thinks a pendant and two recessed lights are too much and said he's never seen recessed AND pendant over a sink. So I wanted to get other opinions. I'm leaning toward doing a small dainty pendant (Skidmore) and keeping the 2 recessed. The pendant will not be lined up with the recessed..it will be forward about 6 inches I'm thinking.
