The legs are solid Malaysian Oak. The table top is an Ash veneer. Recommended maintenance is furniture polish. If you are using the table as a writing desk always use a desk blotter so that your pen strokes will not press into the wood.

We are thinking of using this table for a banquette in our kitchen. Is the finish strong enough to handle water glasses on it without staining? Will be used with young kids. Also, how far out to the legs go. Wondering if we they will be in the way when sitting on a bench. Love the look.
