Yes that is an integrated cover. It has a track system mounted in between the coping and top of the pool wall and a recessed cover box at one end to hide the cover when it is open. It has an electronic motor and key switch to open and close. Its a great system which makes the pool extremely safe and efficient. The homeowners absolutely use it every day and love it.

We installed a pool 12 years ago and we got the integrated cover. LOVE IT! With 5 young children, I could close it when we were finished swimming and never worry that someone was going too close, etc. It also kept the pool super clean and we used very little chemicals. Now that the kids are older we just close it periodically to keep leaves and mulch out. The only pain is after it rains...I have to use a pump to get the rainwater off. Whenever possible, if we know a storm is coming, we open it to avoid this.

thank you both for the helpful replies! are there design tricks to consider in implementing this--i.e., I notice in this pool that the cover is located at the far end, so its visual impact is minimized. Are the flagstones at the far end removable to access the cover? It seems like they are not mortared in like the coping and decking? Other lessons learned? I am very attracted to this option but want to minimize visual impact when cover is open.
