I did and haven't had any problems....it's been 7 years.

I have them in my kitchen and have had no issues. Obviously if there's a spill then you have to clean it up quickly. In the bathroom I'd say no (I have them in my master bathroom).
They look good but not very practical.
The seamless look from the main living area to the kitchen makes the space look much larger and clean.

I have them in the kitchen and half bath without any problems. They were finished on site so the urethane is seamless unlike factory refinished floors. I don't know if that makes a difference or not. My floors in the entry way show more wear than the kitchen floor. You have to invest in good area rugs for in front of doors and lots of felt feet for your chairs and bar stools.

I like them every where except full bathrooms.

It's beautiful in the kitchen, as mentioned it makes the house look bigger. It's like when we dress in one colour we look taller :)) You can use engineered but not hardwood in your basement, unless it's above ground. I believe the humidity would be a nightmare in a bathroom. Cork in the same colour that is finished on site would be lovely, not cork laminate! Have fun and take pictures!
