The company that we subcontracted the fireplace to is no longer in business and I do not have a record of the name of stone. We are doing a lot of stone facades for fireplaces but almost always using real stone now. There are thousands of shapes and sizes of stone slices that are just glued on, some with mortar in between and some dry stack. Although this one looks fabulous with the cultured stone, we really prefer the real stone now both for interior and exterior use.
