Mirror over console table

I found this mirror to hang over my console/entry table. I painted it black, was originally silver leaf. I am having second thoughts of the size. Is it too top heavy… does mirror look too big for the console table?

Consider hanging the mirror higher.

When it's hung and you have something of size on the table it should be fine. Pretty!

I like to over scale mirrors slightly, it add drama. I would get something on each side of the console that is symmetrical and has some height and a smaller accessory in between. Stay simple and clean.

If you hang it on the wall above the console...it will look nice!

Too bad you didn't leave it silver - the contrast would have been more interesting and it wouldn't look so heavy. The styles are completely different so the different finishes would have worked better. Try an assymetrical arrangement of accessories with the highest piece in the corner.

Agree with hanging over ceiling. The table and the mirror are very symmetrical. I would put candles in season changing color of different high on one side and flowers on the other side. To much symmetry would look boring to my feeling.
