I just put fusion quartzite in my kitchen and it is a gorgeous stone, but it has number of white scratches on it. I just moved in and haven't even cooked in the kitchen yet. I hate to think how many scratches it will have after the house is lived in. The installer says the scratches are in the seal and not the quartzite. I'm researching it now, but I think he used the wrong type of sealer. If you do go with the stone, make sure that your installer knows what he's doing. If anyone knows the right way to seal fusion quartzite, please let me know. Thank you.

Update on my previous post – it turns out that the sealer on the fusion is the right one. Construction workers apparently stood on my countertop to install the hood and some island lighting. We are guessing they had sand on their boots and banged tools on the stone. The stone company has been able to repair most of the scratches. Be sure that your counters are kept covered until the last worker leaves the house. I recommend the same for wood floors. Quite a bit of damage happened to finished floors and counters in my house in the last week before I moved in. I have been told that fusion is a tough stone and appropriate for a kitchen.
