The flowering Pears can hold their leaves later into the year. The main message with any of the flowering Pears ('Aristocrat', 'Cleveland Select') is don't plant them. In our area, they have become invasive. GardenArt quit installing Pear about 8 years ago. We consider them a weed. Good land stewardship would say remove the Pear before they become problematic for you and/or your neighbors/neighborhood.
