Warm vs. cool

The sitting area is so warm compared to the dining area. I realize the outdoor light at the time the photo was taken has a lot to do with it. To what degree does the feel of the space change in bright daylight? Does it start to look more like every other open space design, or does the sitting area retain that sense of almost a firepit space it has in this photo? Bold, striking - love it.

Warms tones in the sitting area make it cozy more than the lighting I think. Beautiful view and decor. Sometimes lighting shows little flaws. My house looks best in the morning or evening natural lighting. Around 12:00 noon yikes--enamel isn't perfect, dog hair (seriously). Train comes through right on time! :-)
