Yes wall mount the headboard and if there are legs on it just cut them off...and hang the headboard...unless of course thsi headboard is part of a bed that has a foot board too and is a very nice peice of furniture...then we would have to rethink it...any pictures?

Exactly. Mount a French cleat on the wall and on the headboard. Voila!

We do it all the time here in Savannah where people buy a normal headboard and it disappears in a room with twelve foot ceilings. Never mind that mattresses are generally thicker now.
