If you hang stationary curtains Houzz style (floor to ceiling and barely covering the side window frames,) you may not have room left for the picture on any of the walls I see here. If that's the case, I'd put the art in the adjoining space this side of the columns. Looks like you have room for a rug under the table. Needs to be 4' longer and wider than the table yet not run into walls or furniture on the walls. The rug selected could provide a colorway for the drapes. These are navy taffeta; velvet could work too. Here are a couple of rugs that could increase the interest quotient in your lovely room.

I think a very pronounced texture like a raw silk look, variegated and slubby would bridge the gap between your formal pillars and paneling and the more casual furniture. Tan or taupe would do that well and I think a sisal rug would add also. And a beautiful white cyclamen on the table would be pretty.
