My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

If you live close to the U.S. border have the lamp shipped to a ship it shop or equivalent. You pay a small fee for them to hold it and claim it as you return via Canada Customs. Even better plan a weekend with your partner and pick the lamps up while there and after 48 hours you don\t pay any duty.
