I would use a piece of art rather than installing tile the other thing that looks good is a window frame with mirror.

I'm a dummy with smart devices. Anyway below there is a window above the bed. I would try to decorate the shelves with kitcheney things and place as sort of mock window. You could put an outdoor art scene behind the frame and or drape or shade to make a "mock" window. Don't know if you would consider it tackey but it may work.

Second no window comment. I like this drapery, and it was available in other shades of color.
