The house appears to have had several rounds of modifications. I think I would remove the bay window entirely, replacing it with a combination unit. The gable portico is inconsistent with the apparently Craftsman-inspired brick columns. I would replace this by boxing in the columns at the door and at the end of the stairs.
For the porch, start by cleaning the stonework, then assess what should be done.

first things first: remove the awnings Please do not install shutters or you do, make them size-appropiate so they cover the window . NEVER in a bay window.pressure wash the exterior.re-paint the wood, I would do black trim and white inside the triangle over the front door and patio. Get a new front door, no storm door. paint it black. Get a new exterior fixture. go big because you have only one. paint the black veranda in black

Don't forget the front door. I would remove that storm/screen door. Replace the front door or paint the current one pending condition;)

I really like the suggestions! Thank you! After power washing the stone, do you think it's possible to paint the stone? You can't see it in the picture, but there is a stone fence around the front yard as well. I am trying to keep expenses down since this is an investment property. Thanks again!

Don't paint stone, it becomes a maintenance problem forever. Check with a stonemason about how to clean it. If the stone steps need repair, do it before renting it out. Check with safety codes on the railings, too, the photo is too fuzzy to show them clearly.

PLEASE DO NOT PAINT STONE. stone is a noble material. it ages well. all is needed is a wash. good luck.

Take the awful awning off that top window and the other windows. Paint the trim! It is a decent house that needs TLC.

We get a lot of snow. Should the trim be painted white or a different color?

Hard to tell what colors the stones have; several colors could be fine for trim. Any new photos close -up?
