Is that a "toe tester" I see below the main faucets in shower?

Love the Rohl line for the bathroom. We are doing a tub conversion to a walk in shower (30" x 66"). We will not be able to access the shower controls unless "walk in" the shower to turn on and get wet before water to temperature. Trying to decide if should move controls to be centered to "walk in" area on another wall or install a "toe tester" to get the water to temp before getting wet. Any suggestions?

The part shown on the control wall is the outlet for the steam unit. When designing walk in showers we separate the temperature valve so it is located near the entrance to the shower, That way you do not have to be standing under the water to turn on the shower. We also generally use thermostatic valves with a separate volume control. That way the temperature of the water is set before you turn on the water with the volume control. If you are working with a professional designer, they should be able to help you with the design of the space as well as the layout of the shower controls..

Thank you for your quick response! Absolutely beautiful bathroom. I am green with envy! I am going to try to incorporate your built in linen closet concept into our bathroom. Brilliant! Just hope I have the space to pull it off.
