The color in most of the zinnia blooms in the Select Seeds catalog photo of Super Yoga Rose aren't what I would describe as "rose". With the exception of that one darker pink in the background, I would describe them as just "pink", but those colors don't look "dirty" to me. I'm not sure I would call the darker one "rose" either. It looks sort of coral to me. I have not grown any of the Yogas myself because they are bred primarily for the florist trade (non-branching plants to concentrate just on the main stem flower). Perhaps someone who has grown the Rose Yogas will post a picture here. The Super Yoga Purples were pictured recently in another thread here.

Thanks for the pic. I have the Select Seeds catalog, which is where I saw these originally.

I don't know....the color in the foreground would work, but not the darker color in the back, it looks like a warmer pink, it would clash against the clear colors I have in my color scheme.

Yes, I *am* anal about color, I already know that...

Then again, seed is cheap, I may get a packet just to try, can always stick them in an out of the way place and see if I like them. Did that last year with "Purple Prince" zinnia and ended up loving them, was one of my favorite annuals from last season :0)

Zinnias tend to be variable from seed. But you could cull out any dirty colors and save seeds from just your favorites. That way you could get a "purified" strain of zinnias with colors that live up to your personal taste.
