Yes, this is also called the "Monkeypod Tree." It grows prolifically all over Hawaii, where I live. I have seeds for this, and I've also pulled up seedlings from the ground and planted them as bonsais and as small potted plants. They produce a flower which is very similar in appearance to the mimosa silk flower tree.

No, it is not a monkey pod tree. This tree is native to Brazil.
