I have never had any success using pot without drainage holes. The only way it works if you put a pot with holes inside the pot. Ive been container gardening for about 10 years. Most plants dont want there roots sitting in soggy soil. Even if you put a bunch of gravel in the bottom its to hard to know whats going on down there. I know I hate getting a nice pot with no holes.

Must agree with daislanger - there must be good drainage holes. Suggest you have holes put in the container as well as using some gravel if you like. Whatever way, the roots must be allowed to drain well. Good luck.

You need a Glass/ceramic bit for very hard pots, will not work on wood or plastic. Any hardware store/lowes/home depot.
