Morning Glory Vines

Hi, I have started morning glory seeds indoors.

I am planning to make them grow on a fence.

The problem is that this fence is only about 3 feet high, but is long sideways.

I am wondering if morning glory vine can grow sideways. There is a horizontal bar at the top of the fence that I would like morning glory vines to grow along.

I am also wondering if I can "pinch back" morning glory vines to make them "bushier." If I cut the top off, will they start new vines along the sides?

I've grown them before, they grew so wonderfully fast, and hope to grow them again this year.
