Not hardy for me but I've purchased a couple grown as standards and they bloomed nonstop thru summer and on into late Fall which is usually mild here. Tried to carry them over winter on porch but didn't survive. Lovely foliage and nice cheerful blooms. josh

I have them here 10 years old. They get about 5 feet tall are quite woody for 3 feet off the ground. Very little care or water is needed. Blooming is mostly through the cool season, November through April. June is the best time to prune them back in an effort to keep them lower and more compact. Eventually it is best to start new plants from cuttings and pull out the woody old ones. The same as you would do with lavender. Al

Yes, hardiness may be an issue, although if they get established, I think they can go mid 20's.

They also root if the branches touch the ground, which is a good way to get more plants. One that I propagated this way recently got burned by just below freezing temps a couple of weeks ago, but it is recovering.

Definitely one of the harbingers of Spring in this area.
