I grew it a couple of years ago. It does hold up to the weather without melting. The catalog said it was scented, but mine did not smell. It is a nice plant.

Somewhat fragrant, but blooms in my planting slacked off considerably by June and I replaced it with something more ornamental that required less deadheading.

I had it year before last. It grew like a champ. Did do best with dead heading. I did add some moisture holding soil into the pots to help. But over all in even the Texas mid-day sun, it grew like a champ.
I'm hoping I have seeds saved somewhere. Hopefully I can grow it again.
