I have been living in the same apartment for 5 years and have been trying to grow different things. I have killed quite a few plants but keep trying. I face east with a covered balcony. At the front I get sun until noon. I currently have an Ivy, it has been doing well for the last five years. I also have a gardenia that I have had for about a year, it had about 10 blooms in the spring and currently has one bud on it but the leaves are pale and about a month ago I started giving it Ironite by-weekly. It looks a little better. I have double impatiens that have buds all over but donÂt open. I have a balloon plant that has stopped blooming and the leaves seem a little dry. I live in southern California and was wondering what I am doing wrong or if all plants just have certain seasons regardless of the weather. Also, I have room for one more plant and was wondering if there is a flowering plant for fall and/or winter bloom. Also, am I just trying to grow the wrong plants?
