Hi Lisa!I'm so inspired by White,silver and light and dark green,in window boxes.The basic shades alone are great,other colors can be added if desired.The new coleus varieties are exciting, as many can now take more sun.Herbs incorporated in the scheme add something special to a meal with just a short stroll out to the box!I live in Dover,N.H.-D

I don't see any viny stuff in your photos. Have you thought about sweet potato vines, they come in chartreuse, or black or pink and white? I'm partial to the chartreuse sweet potato with purply things like coleus and persian shield. Homestead verbena would go well with that, as I realize I've mostly named foliage plants. Dangly flower things like callibrachoa are cool, too. Cinnamon and Thai basil, with their purple flower cones, are nice.

Since you have such a long area to fill, have you considered making a "border" by planting different things in different boxes down the line? And the demarcation of masses of one kind of flower need not end at the edge of a box, but one mass could straddle 2 boxes...

I like the herb idea. They wouldn't happen to be window boxes outside your kitchen windows? Lots of colors and textures in herbs. Could be really neat.
